Monumental Renaissance Carved Walnut Cabinet

Italian, 16th/17th century, walnut throughout, center section with two paneled doors, flanked by term figures with carved capitals and leaf carved supports, stop fluted pilasters, shelved interior, iron locks and hinges, flanked by similar cabinet sections, each with single door flanked by similar carvings, 45-1/2 x 171 x 26 in. - Provenance: Estate of Paul W. Condition Report: top board of center section and top board of back restored (extensive pest damage to backboards), other scattered pest damage, shrinkage cracks, repairs and some possible reconfiguring, term figures with pest damage and some associated losses including at one face, top with scattered notches, carved initials and one carved cross, two heart shaped knot patches, probable restorations at bottom boards and base moldings
