Morris Kestelman RA, British 1905-1998- Circus scene; pastel, ink and pencil on paper, signed lower left 'M Kestelman', 17.8 x 20.9 cm (unframed) (ARR) Provenance: Boundary Gallery, London Note: Kestelman was known for his representational depictions of the working classes and rural landscapes. By the late 1950s, like many of his predecessors, Kestelman abandoned this method of painting, choosing geometric abstraction as his preferred style.
