Mortar - Gothic - Bronze - Early 16th century
Gothic peninsular mortar from the mid-fifteenth century, early sixteenth. Very rare in triangular typology, fifteen ribs, three per side, three rings, one with a ring. Mortar hand also in bronze. Few references about this type of mortar. One very similar to this specimen is in the pharmacy museum of Lisbon (Portugal) Measures: 13 x 12 x 12 cm. Hand length 21 cm. It comes from the same old collection of old mortars.
