A large scale sea chart of the mid-Atlantic coast line from Staten Island New York to Cape Henry, showing New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Viginia including the Chesapeake Bay, with English place names. The chart published by Pierre Mortier for Alexis-Hubert Jaillot in Le Neptune François, ou Atlas Nouveau des Cartes Marines. The map is based on John Thornton & William Fisher’s chart of 1689 published in The English Pilot, The Forth Book,which was derived from an important and rare Augustine Herrman map.
