After the war the went back to Belgium, spending the rest of his life there, left after him a wife and two girls living in Belgium to this day.
His painting teacher was the Belgian Madeleine Duguet (that a number of her pictures arrive from the same estate and are sold in this auction), together they formed in the 1950s the La Pléiade des Jeunes Arts Center, where artist of different fields gathered.
