Born in 1986, Mr. Oreke is a self-taught French artist describing his work as “Street Pop Art”. At the beginning of the 2000s, he encountered pictorial arts through the practice of graffiti. Equipped with his spray paint, he begins by covering the walls with his drawings in shimmering colors before continuing his gesture on the canvas support. His style inherits the pop art movement and the aesthetics of comics. Abstraction predominates over the style of his early years. The singularity of Mr. Oreke can be seen in his funds, which he uses mainly with aerosols, like graffiti. The artist combines ink with acrylic, and sometimes heterogeneous elements such as bank notes. The narration, tinged with humor, is endowed with fantasy and liberating energy. A formal freedom is added through a mixture of collages, drippings, typographic elements. . . and echoes the comic strip.
