Mughal-Style Silver Box with Jade Panels
The silver is hand-chased with a floral pattern, the top jade panel features a flower. The decorative lock mechanism is flower shaped with a cushion cut emerald of approximately 1 carat. Unmarked but tests as sterling.
Dimensions: 5 1/4 inches tall X 9 7/8 inches wide; 13.3 cm tall X 25.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Age wear. Scuffs to jade, oine back jade piece has some small cracks.
Provenance: From a collection in Pennsylvania, previously at auction from Eldred's, East Dennis, Massachusetts, from the C.P. Lee and Sons Collection, Perth, Australia.
