Muhsoni tells the story of going home for the Lebaran or Idul Fitri celebrations in this painting. Usually, hundreds of thousands of young families ride home using motorbikes just days before Lebaran. They find it the most convenient way to reach home in time for the celebrations, as the trains are usually full, while large automobiles such as buses are usually held up by traffic. This painting shows a family of travelers heading to their hometown. They carry a large bag that may contain everyday clothes, baskets, boxes containing various items, and even their child's favorite bicycle. It is a phenomenon that seems to only exist in Indonesia.
