Superb suspension created and signed by Muller Frères Luneville, 1930s France. Beautiful moulded glass decorations of geometric forms, stars and vines that create a magical show when turned on. Black metal frame with decorations of grapes and leaves. In excellent condition, wired and working. To note the usual scratches hidden by the fixtures and metalwork frame of this piece and slight signs of use. Height adjustable with chains from 45cm-125cm, 60cm diameter. The Muller family, originally from Kalhausen (Moselle) , settled in Lunéville in 1870. Three of the brothers, Henri, Desiree and Eugene Muller were recruited by Émile Gallé as clerks or engravers and decorators on glass. But, in 1897, Henri Muller left Émile Gallé, taking with him many secrets. He created his own glass decoration workshop in Lunéville where he was joined by his other brothers, his sister and his father. Its production is in direct competition with that of Gallé and stands among other glass productions like Lalique and Daum Nancy.
