Muonionalusta Meteorite End Cut Iron, IVA Northern Sweden - (67° 48'N, 23° 6'E) Found: 1906 This truly otherworldly offering consists of an end cut of the iconic Arctic Muonionalusta Meteorite that has a tremendous cut and etched face featuring an elegant Widmanstätten pattern. Weighing a robust 2.7 kilograms (6 pounds), this example of what is often considered the oldest meteorite fall on the Earth has two impressive Troilite inclusions on its primary display face giving the piece the appearance of a ghostly apparition. Minor visible patches of oxidation rusting are visible over the silvery form, and the exterior is classic Muonionalusta with intense texture, metallic coloration, and contrasting "stains" of color. This is a substantial specimen measuring some 8 inches (20 cm) from end to end. This is a very unique meteorite.
