Muonionalusta Meteorite Slice Iron, IVA Northern Sweden - (67° 48'N, 23° 6'E) Found: 1906 This slightly tapered and solid, but relatively thin, slab of Muonionalusta Meteorite features two sides with an outstanding Widmanstätten pattern diagnostic of that particular Iron from north of the Arctic Circle. Weighing nearly 500 grams, this showstopper slice looks great, offers an organic shape and has an excellent cross-hatching. Only minor superficial fissures are visible on the faces, and a rare bonus is the remnant of a Troilite inclusion on one surface. The rough edging is sharp with a dark brownish hue. Overall Measurements: 5.24 x 4.65 x 0.31 inches (13.30 x 11.80 x 0.80 cm), weighs 489 grams [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
