Murano, VeArt - Attr. - Vase - Opaline - 25 cm - Glass

[ translate ]

Light blue jacketed vase
Ve. Art (attributed)
80s
h 25 cm - Ø 14 cm - weight 700 g

Elegant vase in very light layered opaline glass obtained by superimposing a bright blue on a layer of colorless crystal glass.

A combination of modernity and tradition, the vase is blown in the style born in 1932 from the brilliant mind of Paolo Venini. A design that embodies unique and refined artisanal qualities, skillfully imprinted by the Murano glass masters: perfectly proportioned and symmetrical, this decorative work was carried out entirely freehand and without the use of moulds. The minimal thickness of the material highlights the mastery of Murano glassmakers in blowing and modeling extraordinary artistic forms.

The history of the Ve. Art glassworks is equally fascinating. Founded in 1965 by Sergio Billiotti and Ludovico Diaz De Santillana, the latter also known for being the artistic director of the famous Venini glass factory. Ve. Art produced artistic glass until the early 1990s and, during its short but significant existence, collaborated with important artists and designers of international standing, including Toni Zuccheri, Umberto Riva and Tobia Scarpa.

Although the Ve. Art brand no longer exists, its legacy lives on through beautiful works of art like this vase, which today inspire admiration and appreciation among enthusiasts and collectors. A collector's item that testifies to the excellence and creativity of Murano glass art.

Provenance: The vase is part of a collection of vintage glass purchased in the 1980s from the Ve. Art furnace.

Conditions: Perfectly preserved.
