Museum Quality Victorian Silk Crazy Quilt d. 1886

This OUTSTANDING cotton and silk Victorian crazy tied quilt is hand stitched, with elaborate hand stitched embellishments, including fish, people, fans, mitten, frog, flowers, wheat, urn, the date "1886," the initials "J.R." and other items.
It measures 60" X 66" and is in excellent condition, with 2-3 silk pieces with varying degrees of deterioration. The colors are strong and vibrant.

The back is a cotton floral print fabric, the edge consists of a braided material, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of central Pennsylvania and has traditional corner blocks.
