Musical chair for child - Black Forest Work - Wood - mid 19th century

Beautiful children's musical chair dating from the mid-19th century - Work from the Black Forest - from Switzerland. Superb sculpture of the backrest decorated with acanthus leaves with a medallion in the centre! Resting on 4 curved feet, themselves carved, decorated with acanthus leaves for the back feet and with oak leaves and acorns for the front feet. The seat lifts up and integrated a musical movement with 2 tunes (the musical mechanism is missing) . Old fragmented and barely legible label underneath the seat. Very rare item! More like a decorative piece than a utilitarian piece. Dimensions: Height: 86. 5 cm Seat height: 42. 5 cm Width: 42. 5 cm Depth: 39. 5 cm In good overall condition, note a small crack behind the backrest (see photos) . To be picked up from my home or possible delivery by me within a radius of 350 km (at the purchaser's expense) .
