Mustard-painted Blanket Chest, probably Pennsylvania, mid 19th century, the lid with applied molded edge above a well with till, applied flat lid molding, applied base molding, and turned feet, old paint, ht. 27 1/2, wd. 43, dp. 21 1/4 in.
Note: A typed note affixed to the inside of the lid reads "Father and mother bought this/chest at an auction in 1917./It cost $8.00./I repaired it Aug. 24, 1955./Raymond E. Kiebach."
