[ translate ]

Wonderful and handy Inland manufactured US M2 Carbine so marked on the receiver and with “5-44” Inland barrel. As so many were, this gun has been retrofitted with adjustable rear peep sight and bayonet lug forward barrel band. Round bolt, flip safety, two rivet hand guard, and “2” hand struck overstamp on the “M2” designation on the receive provide indications that this gun was a U.S. government conversion. One 30-round magazine is included. The M2 Carbine was fielded at the very end of World War II, with most going to the Pacific Theater. After the war, many M1 Carbines were retrofitted and made into M2 Carbines by the U.S. government. These guns saw service throughout the Korean and Vietnam War eras and were even supplied to other countries by the United States thereafter. Electronic NFA registry indicates “UNKNOWN” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine arsenal refinish with some loss of finish to gray patina on the top of the barrel, and where the charging handle rides on the receiver and on the round bolt. Wood is unmarked and very clean. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Would be just about impossible to upgrade the condition of this specimen. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2024-05-061. Barrel Length: 16" Caliber/Bore: .30 Carbine FFL Status: NFA Manufacturer: Inland Div. Model: M2 Serial Number: 5191169
