(N) ATTRACTIVE WORLD WAR II AUTO ORDNANCE M1A1 THOMPSON

Very attractive Auto Ordnance, Bridgeport manufactured Thompson M1A1 machine gun with crossed cannon proof on left side of receiver as well as “FJA” and “GEG” inspector’s markings. Thompson bullet logo forward of the sight and “S” manufacturer’s mark on underside of receiver forward of magazine well. Some softening to the top line of the left-hand receiver markings. Forend iron has added retention rivet just barely noticeable at the rear of the forend wood. Lower receiver number 545590 forward of handgrip. Lot includes one matte gray refinished Seymore 30 round magazine, Kerr sling, five lustrous finish 30 round magazines (2 SW Co, 2 US Cartridge Co, 1 Seymour), four new in wrapper 30 round magazines and one leather four cell magazine carrier. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent, gray green arsenal refinish on upper receiver with some thinning to gray patina at the high edges where it meets the receiver. Mechanics are crisp. Arsenal replaced near mint barrel has a beautiful dark blue finish and near excellent bright shiny bore. Bolt and bolt face extremely fine to near excellent. Mechanics are crisp and positive. Wood is extremely fine with light handling marks and a couple dings and bruises. This is a select fire machine gun.
