[ translate ]

There are only a very few original Sterling manufactured MK VI machine guns registered fully transferable for private ownership in the United States, and this is one of them. This cataloger knows the set of circumstances under which several of them “made it into the registry”, and each one is entertaining. This one is marked on the top of the magazine housing, “STERLING / S.M.G. / 9 MM MK 6 L2A3 / No SA 0455”. 3-positition selector is marked "AUTO", "FIRE", and "SAFE". Original bayonet & scabbard, front sight adjustment tool, green web sling, one set of gray canvas 6 cell paratroop and one green canvas 3 cell magazine pouches are included with 6 original magazines, as well as original manual and soft carrying case. Gun features beautiful clear British crown proof visible on bolt as well as additional proofs visible on right side of barrel discernable through the perforations on the shroud. Right grip panel exhibits, “Lock” and “Free” next to screw. Side mounted bayonet lug present. Electronic NFA registry indicates "STERLING" as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish near excellent as re-powder coated. Magazine well markings slightly obscured incidental to this process but still legible. Gray matte blue finish on barrel and bolt. Grips near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Very unlikely it will ever be possible to upgrade from this gun. This is a super opportunity for an American collector and shooting enthusiast to acquire a fully transferable Sterling.
