High condition and highly desirable Maremont M60E3 machine gun with correct E3 configuration top cover as the improved and lightened model of the M60 which was fielded in 1986. It was nominally fielded with a lightweight barrel intended to provide greater mobility. This specimen is one of the very few of this model which managed to meet the cut-off to be fully transferable to individuals. Includes a new in wrapper barrel bag, green sling, spare flash hider, new condition Army 1991 update original military operators manual as well Marine Corps 1985 edition military operators manual, as well the larger new condition M-60 manual. Also included is the original instructions which came with the gun when purchased new by the consignor. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish near excellent original finish throughout with the occasional light handling mark. Composite parts finish near excellent. Mechanics are crisp, Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. It is very rare that this highly desirable model surfaces for sale, and finding one in this condition is rarer still.
