[ translate ]

Absolutely fabulous condition Colt commercial B.A.R. with correct C prefix serial number and beautiful commercial finish to both metal and wood, with added World War II flash hider with bearing surface for bipod. First style gas regulator, and "F A S" selector markings on this gun, which includes one smooth finish 20 round magazine. Stamped ink marking on left side of buttstock near buttplate which indicates this gun came from the Utah Prison System. Consignor collected for many years, and chose the retain this gun as the best condition specimen he had ever seen. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish thinning a bit at the high edges, with typical takedown lines at detent pins and some very light handling marks to the wood and a couple dings with some checks lost to the checkered forend. Tiny sliver of wood not present on left side of buttstock where wood meets bottom of receiver which looks like it might be original vintage loss. Not noticeable until extremely close inspection. This is one very impressive condition B.A.R. Mechanics are crisp. Bore extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Wood and composite furnishings exhibit typical albeit light handling marks and dings. This is a fabulous opportunity for both the advanced Colt, and B.A.R. collector.
