Exceptionally clean and attractive M3 “Grease Gun” as manufactured by Guide Lamp for use during World War II with modern made S.C.R.C. suppressor and an original standard M3 grease gun barrel. No magazine present, but these are readily available. Typical “Guide” on left side of magazine housing with crossed cannons arsenal marking. Typical Guide Lamp drawing numbers on action housing “G.L. 0153432” and on underside of trigger guard “B-301456-4 / BGR-GL”. The M3 cocks when firer opens the ejection port cover, then actuates a lever on the left side of the receiver to withdraw the bolt to the rear. The M3 was a contemporary successor to the Thompson machine gun during WWII as a less costly, and more rapidly produced machine gun. Suppressor is marked “S.C.R.C. / Beltsville, TX. / # B-1735 / MK3 .45". Electronic NFA registry indicates "UNKNOWN" as the manufacturer for the gun and “SOUTH CENTRAL RESEARCH CORP DBA SRC” for the suppressor. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent smooth gray refinish on gun showing some slight light pitting under the finish on the right side. IRS registration number is on both sides of the magazine housing. There is some slight loss of finish to bare metal on the right side high edge. Both standard barrel and silencer rifled bores are extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun. The U.S. M3 Grease gun is a very highly sought collector's item for both the WWII and shooting enthusiast. With added silencer and considering the condition, this is an especially attractive piece. THESE ARE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEMS AND REQUIRE BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THE GUN AND SUPPRESSOR EACH REQUIRE THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AND ARE FULLY TRANSFERABLE. GUN WILL TRANSFER AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE JWK 2024-05-58 Accessories: Silencer Barrel Length: (G) 7" (S) 18" Caliber/Bore: (BOTH) .45 ACP FFL Status: NFA Manufacturer: (G) ZZZ (S) Baxter Model: (G) M3 (S) MK-3 Serial Number: (G) IRS-4742A (S) B1735
