(N) VERY SCARCE ROYAL TYPEWRITER MANUFACTURED MODEL 1918A2 BROWNING AUTOMATIC RIFLE B.A.R. MACHINE

Very seldom found Royal Typewriter Company Inc 1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle (B.A.R.). U.S. flaming bomb proof with date “11-53” near sight on barrel with “P” proofmark discernable near the chamber. Features include smooth original World War II forend, carrying handle, muzzle, and 3rd pattern gas regulator, as well as WWII style hard composite buttstock with flip-up buttplate. No magazine present, but these are readily available. The BAR was an important component of portable firepower within the American infantry squad during World War II. It was highly effective when engaging the enemy. NFA Electronic registry indicates, "FORM 2 REGISTRATION" in the manufacturer's block. Incoming paper form 4 indicates “Royal Typewriter, USA” in the manufacturer’s block. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine smooth gray refinish upon remanufacture, thinning in places to a gray patina, with extremely attractive wood, and composite furnishings. Bore is extremely fine, shiny & bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. This is a full-auto only machine gun. The Browning automatic rifle is one of the most popular machine guns out on the range, and this one is from a manufacturer seldom seen.
