N. Weber Trage Schmuck du Gewinnst vintage poster
Caption Brief: "'Wear jewelry—you win' was the slogan for an event called Jewelry Week, which took place in Berlin in 1932. Couple the striking typography with the opulent decadence of Weber's masterful image on this poster and it becomes difficult to find fault with the credo. The after-dark color scheme is sexy and enticing, as is the partially seen model upon whom the jewelry is draped. She could be a mannequin or a statue, with her flawless skin, exaggerated facial features, and complete lack of clothing. All of this serves to display the jewelry exquisitely, from the string of pearls to the serpentine bracelet slithering three-quarters of the way down her arm to the oval ring to the abstract miniature sculpture that hangs from her earlobe" (The Art Deco Poster, Crouse, p. 155).
