NAMED US MILITARY ORDER RED CROSS MEDAL IN GOLD

Great antique c1890's solid 14K gold and enamel US Military Order of Surgeons Red Cross medal "Omnia Pro Patria Caritate" presented to "No. 78 Brig Gen. "Pat" Cassidy Surgeon General U.S.A. and stamped by the maker. The piece has fine details and nice weight (12.0 grams with ribbon). The piece was acid tested and shows to be solid 14K gold). The medal measures approx. 1 3/8 " x 1 3/8" and 2 7/8" overall with ribbon . The piece is in very good condition with only some very light wear from polishing, otherwise no chips, no cracks, no breaks or repairs. Excellent.
