20th century.Height: 50 cm.An IR spectroscopy dating certificate (G. Matthaes patent) from the Museo d’Arte e Scienza, Milan, no. 8AO-8233, indicates the date as 1937 ± 6 years.Wooden core covered with copper and brass.The stylised, concave face features eyes made from brass cabochons and a nose extending from the top of the forehead. The elongated nose and side headdresses suggest an inspiration of Shamaye origin. The wooden back features an elongated diamond-shaped relief.
