Inscription: Titled below the image in the printing plate: "Agli Amatori delle buone Arti", signed and dated below in the printing plate, collection stamp "Kgl. Universität Würzburg M.v.Wagnersche Sammlung" (Lugt no. 2541b) at lower right, stamp "Wagner-Museum Würzburg. Dubl." (Lugt no. 2541c)

Date: 1728

Description: Beautiful, satirical allegory with mythological figures in front of an ancient cityscape. Above right, enthroned above all, Zeus /Jupiter sits on a cloud and commands Athena/Minerva to intervene to protect the fine arts.
