NEA 010 Rumuruti Meteorite Split Pair R3-5 Libya Found: 2019 This NEA 010 meteorite is a Rumuruti Chondrite classified "R3-5," with a total weight of 465 grams. This MAIN MASS specimen has been cut into two roughly equal halves with cut and polished faces. A duo of unique yellowish-brown colorations, each half features a flat cut bottom, complex display face, and rough exterior with sublime texture. One half displays a small missing section due to a sawcut inconsistency. A wonderful pairing, this 2-for-1 offering was found in Libya in 2019. The breccia has been designated as a shock stage S2 and exhibits low weathering. These represent over 70 percent of the total known weight.
