NEAR RELIC MODEL 1840 HALL - NORTH US CARBINE

Only 6501 of these carbines were made for the Government by Simeon North in Middletown Ct. from 1840-1843. This one is dated 1841 on block. It features a 21" smooth bore round barrel and fires a .52 caliber ball . Maker is stamped on block. It wears two barrel bands with walnut stock and single trigger. Metal is dark and just as found. The stock is complete but rough with some age cracks. A
