The late 19th century ormolu casket with hinged cover divided by two large and finely executed Viennese enamel plaques centering the acanthus frame; six more elaborate and highly detailed classical scenes depicted on Viennese enamel plaques with beaded ormolu frame around the casket case adorned with caryatids at the four corners and matching acanthus base raised on four winged griffin supports with paw feet, unsigned. Measures 6.25 x 10.25 x 7.5 inches. Plaques measure 2.75 x 2.75, 2.75 x 3.25 and 2.75 x 4 inches.
