This ish features a spicy H. Rider Haggard adaptation, and in another strip, a randy explorer conducts a "biological study" of partially-clad native girls with steamy results ("Whoopie! Whee!").

"The novel She, written in 1886 by H. Rider Haggard, is serialized in New Comics #6 (July 1936) through New Adventure Comics #22 (December 1937). It is an interesting choice in that She is considered to be one of the foundations of fantasy literature. Although the Victorian colonialism and attitudes towards race and women are unacceptable to our modern sensibilities, the other aspects of the novel such as a lost world, a created history, and the untouchable ageless priestess are very much a part of modern comics whose heroes are supernatural." — Nicky Wheeler-Nicholson, DC Comics Before Superman: Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson's Pulp Comics. Hermes Press: 2018, pp. 203, 205.****************************************
The DC UNIVERSE COLLECTION comprises over 40,000 comic books, encompassing every single DC comic published for retail sale from 1934 to 2014. The collection was amassed by British music producer Ian Levine over the course of several decades, and it's been hailed as the single greatest collecting accomplishment in comic book history. PBA is proud to present this epic collection in a series of themed sales, including The DC UNIVERSE COLLECTION Part 3: The GOLDEN AGE, coming this summer.
