Beykoz, Ottoman Turkey, late 18th - 19th century
Each of rectangular shape, seven with flat square bases and two with rectangular bases, all characterised by tapering shoulders and gently flared necks, two bottles with amber-coloured glass stoppers, another two with clear-glass stoppers, one gold-painted, all with gilt decorations including pseudo-calligraphy reminiscent of Nasrid style calligraphy in the Alhambra, oval-cut medallions, cross patterns and horizontal lines, four with polychrome-painted enamelled motifs, such as moon, stars, flowers and dragonflies, the largest 18.5cm high, the smallest 11.5cm high.
