The South sea pearl is a variety of saltwater pearl, cultured in the silver and gold-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster, mostly in ocean waters from Australia to Indonesia. Emerging from the tranquil waters of Australia, these South Sea Pearls are round and have a rich luxurious luster. These pearls have a very unique and rich colour : from silver to rose and bronze ! The necklace is a standard length of 43cm and is made with 35 cultured South Sea pearls that measure between 10. 3 and 13. 5mm in diameter, creating a graduation to the front of the necklace. The pearls that have been matched for this necklace have a bright silky lustre with a few light natural growth characteristics on the surface that do not detract from the elegance of the necklace. Individualy knotted between each pearl for safety, the necklace is completed with a secure invisible clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality screw and the other end pearl a bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden, offering a clean and elegant look.
