Exquisite hand engraved very large sterling silver lovers knot Brooch. This is a high quality piece. Secured by a C clasp at the reverse which is just as detailed and pretty. Victorians loved symbolism and the knot form was a particular favourite used in pieces of jewellery and sent to lovers. This wonderful piece of jewellery history would fasten a Pashmina on the shoulder beautifully - especially as it has a very secure clasp with a long pin - an indication of age and dating it to the end of the 19th Century.
