The exotic Tahitian pearl is grown for around 2 years in the black-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster from the warm saltwater lagoons of French Polynesia. The multi overtones of these pearls are carefully matched to create an elegant necklace that is unique and easy to wear. The pearls are graduated in size between 11. 2 and 14. 8mm diameter, have an excellent sharp lustre with growth characteristics on the surface that do not detract from the elegance of the necklace. The necklace is 45cm in length, with individual knots between each pearl to ensure that the necklace is safe and comfortable to wear. The necklace is completed with a secure invisible clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality screw and the other end pearl a bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock.
