A stunning multi-coloured necklace of Tahitian pearls, selected for their shimmering green, pink, purple and blue overtones, and finished with a solid invisible clasp in 18K gold. The exotic Tahitian pearl is grown for around 2 years in the black-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster from the warm saltwater lagoons of French Polynesia. The peacock overtones of these pearls are carefully matched in light and dark colours to create an elegant necklace that is unique and easy to wear. The pearls are gently graduated in size between 12 and 15. 2mm diameter, creating a statement with this luxurious big size. The pearls have a beautiful nace quality and some light natural growth characteristics on the surface, normal for this size, that do not detract from the elegance of the necklace. The necklace is 44cm long and is strung by hand with knots between each pearl for safety and is completed with a secure 18K gold built in clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality 18k gold screw and the other end pearl a gold bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden, offering a clean and elegant look.
