Original work by NOWART. Arnaud Rabier, stage name NOWART was born in Blanc-Mesnil in 1968. He lives and works in Compiègne, near Paris. Nowart is a visual artist specialising in street art / graffiti, using different materials and techniques. Nowart has participated in several exhibitions in recent years. In 1985 he creates his first street art objects on walls. After that, Nowart broke through and took part in exhibitions in various galleries in Paris, New York, Saint Petersburg and Brussels. His works mainly focus on people: celebrities and greats that he admires, including Vincent van Gogh, Nelson Mandela and various world-famous musicians. In creating his work he is based on a number of elementary values that can also be found in the hip-hop scene: peace, love and harmony. His desire to have these elementary matters reflected in his work is large and great. The form in his work is leading: diversity, fragmentation, seduction. His work has been created in great detail, thus giving shape to the longing that lives deep within him and expressing his artistic and technical excellence. Nowart identifies as an artist with Van Gogh's life, work and living environment. In 1887, in the vicinity of Paris, on the banks of the Seine, Van Gogh captured the beginning of industrialization on canvas. Now, a century after Vincent van Gogh's death, he has paid tribute to this artist by displaying 130 variations on Van Gogh's moods.
