NWA 12798, H6 Melt Breccia Chondrite Meteorite - 7×2×5.8 cm - 101 g

Chondrite meteorite NWA 12798, H6 Melt Breccia - 101 g. Chondrites are undifferentiated meteorites, formed 4. 5 billion years ago and are the creation of our solar system. They come from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, which as a result of violent shocks changed course and some of these fragments crossed the Earth's orbit and became meteorites. In the middle of the chondres we can clearly see the traces of metal. These are the oldest objects that can be touched on Earth. Chondrite is a term used in planetology to describe a certain type of stony meteorite (less than 35% metal) . This category contains the most primitive meteorites and is itself divided into several subgroups of meteorites: notably ordinary chondrites, carbonaceous chondrites and enstatite chondrites. The characteristic of chondrites is to contain chondres, sub-millimetric balls mainly formed of silicates. The standard model of their initial formation is that they are generated during the condensation of the solar nebula, under the effect of electric discharges within the proto-solar cloud of cosmic dust. These rocks are the oldest in the Solar System. Chondrites are considered as the first elements from which planets are formed. Delivery time from 10 to 21 days.
