NWA Ordinary Chondrite Meteorite (2 Pieces) Unclassified Ordinary Chondrite Northwest Africa An "odd couple" at least as far as meteorites go, this "two-for-one" offering consists of a pair of unclassified meteorites from Northwest Africa. The significantly larger of the two pieces weighs over 2.5 kilograms (6.4 pounds) and offers superlative attributes. This gorgeous, reddish-brown specimen displays superb fusion crust and dramatic flow lines. The large meteorite is oriented with an apparent partial nose cone. The much smaller rock weighs a relatively diminutive 283.4 grams but shares some of the incredible exterior features of the larger mass and offers a major bonus as the end cut has a polished window face revealing a rich internal color and contrasting metallic flecks. The duo represents a meaningful amount of meteorite, which exhibits numerous superlative characteristics. Although unclassified, this is definitely no ordinary chondrite pairing.
