Dimensions: 44 x 34 x 27 cm.
The work was made with great craftsmanship in the late 19th century, following the example of the French artist Philippe-Laurent Roland (1746 - 1816) . In the past it has been thought that the Frenchman's original model was Clodion, a contemporary of Roland, which is why it bears the signature "Clodion".
