Nancy Tuttle May has been a fixture in the arts community of Durham, North Carolina for many years. She studied at Wake Forest University, and later at the Università per Strainieri di Perugia, Italy and Université Canadienne en France in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France, before returning to the United States to live and practice. Tuttle May's works - abstract and color field in style - are present in many collections, including the Duke University Medical Center, Durham; Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro; SAS Institute, Cary; Nations Bank, United States and Australia; and The Breakers, Palm Beach.
