1791 (14 July) ALS over two pages to Mary Dickenson from whom she joyously accepts an invitation, signed "I am your obliged & truly grateful & sincere Emma H". Hamilton writes "You have made me very happy by your great kindness in having wrote to invite me with your dear Uncle to visit you and Mr. Dickenson at Taxal, I have so many obligations to you Madm. that think the joy I felt when I recd. your dear letter..", leaving an interesting P.S. to say "Cavr Palombi is the best man in the world & Miss Dickinson will be very happy, & now I feel dubly so as I shall have it in my power to make Naples more agreeable to her". Document with address panel and wax seal intact with double ring "JY / 15 / 91 / E" postmark. A charming and rare letter.

Lady Emma Hamilton (1765 - 1815) wife of Sir William Hamilton and best known as mistress of Lord Nelson. Mary Dickenson was the niece of Sir William Hamilton.
