Native Copper Michigan, USA "A flat cluster of strange elongated crystals. Traded with Bryn Mawr. From the George Vaux collection. - Rock H. Currier Even during the period when George Vaux was acquiring specimens for his collection, there were situations where specimens were being sold with no locality data, other than the state that they were said to be from. Based on similar examples, it is safe to say, that this group of crystals are from one of the many copper mines located in the Upper Peninsula around Houghton. Accompanied by a custom acrylic base. Overall Measurements: 6.7 x 5.1 x 0.8 inches (17.0 x 13.0 x 2.0 cm) Offered at no reserve Provenance: Ex. Bryn Mawr College, Ex.
