National Society of Americans of Royal Descent Medal - This is an original medal from the National Society of Americans of Royal Descent. The society was founded on May 2, 1908 in Georgetown, Washington D.C. The patriotic lineage society is still in existence today throughout local charters, and was registered with the College of Arms in London on January 1, 1936. Membership is granted through invitation only. The reverse of the medal is engraved with the name James Alexander Ventress, No. 24. This lot comes with the original jewelry box with the Bailey Banks and Biddie insignia. The now-defunct jewelry retailer designed this medal, in addition to the Presidential Seal that is still in use by the White House today.
