A bead with a rounded cylindrical shape, beautifully polished from natural veined agate. It displays a rhythmic and distinct pattern of stripes alternating between shades of brown, honey and white across its entire body; it is drilled lengthways and has a soft patina. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
