Armand Guillaumin
1841 - 1927
Nature Morte aux Pommes

signed Guillaumin (lower right)
oil on canvas
37.9 by 55cm., 14 7/8 by 21 5/8 in.
Framed: 46.6 by 64cm., 18 3/8 by 25 1/4 in.
Painted circa 1879.

This work will be included in Volume II of the Catalogue Raisonné Guillaumin being prepared by the Comité Guillaumin with Dominique Fabiani, Jacques de la Béraudière and Stéphanie Chardeau-Botteri.

Condition Report:
The canvas is not lined. Inspection under UV light reveals a tiny spot of retouching to the upper right corner of the lower left quadrant (to the white cloth). There is some fluorescence to the signature due to remnants of old varnish. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places and a vertical stretcher bar mark, only visible under a raking light. This work is in overall good condition.
