Condition Report:
The work has been examined framed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals a small line (approx. 4cm long) of retouching to the extreme left part of the upper edge and tiny dots of retouching along the extreme edges and towards the upper right corner. There is a faint horizontal mark running along the upper edge. There are a few fine lines of craquelure in places notably one running horizontally to the hat. There is some light frame rubbing along the extreme edges. There is some light dirt ingrained to the surface. Impasto is nice and well-preserved. This work is in overall very good condition and could benefit from a light clean.
