Neal Tait, British b.1965- Cleo, 2007; oil on canvas, 25.4x35.6cm (ARR) Provenance: Thomas Dane Gallery, London, where purchased by the present owner. Note: Neal Tait is a contemporary British painter. The present work, like much of Tait’s output, is strongly enigmatic, combining various styles of representation and contrasting abstraction and figuration. Tait’s works have been shown in solo exhibitions at the White Cube, London; Sies + Höke Gallerie, Düsseldorf; Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin; and Monica de Cardenas, Milan; and have also been exhibited at Simon Oldfield, and the Tate Britain in London, and Galleria Marabini in Bologna.
