THE ASTON MARTIN V12 VANTAGE

Aston Martin revived the storied 'V8 Vantage' moniker in 2005, which they applied to new model positioned below the DB9 and aimed squarely at the Porsche 911, but with a distinctly British character and the appeal of low-volume exclusivity. The lovely hatchback coupe (an open Volante came later), styled by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker (with some dispute about the credit), revived Aston's fortunes and became a mainstay of the firm's catalogue.

In 2007, Aston Martin celebrated the opening of a new design studio with a Vantage-based concept unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Using the compact bodyshell of the Vantage, Aston's skunkworks shoehorned in the AM11 V12 engine from the DBS, and suitably updated chassis and brakes suitably handle the V12's 510 bhp output. The car was met with near universal acclaim by the lucky few who experienced it, and soon, a production version was announced much to the delight of Aston's clients.

The V12 Vantage proved successful enough to warrant a second generation, based on the all-new 2018 Vantage – though it would be 2022 before the new twelve-cylinder car arrived in customer hands, and the complete run of only 333 cars worldwide were sold out immediately.
Considerably more aggressive than before, the new V12 Vantage sports a distinctive widebody treatment, aero addenda, and deeply sculpted bumpers and bonnet. Purposeful and tough, it still retains the "bruiser in a tailored suit" look that defines modern Aston Martin design.

Of course, it is what lurks beneath the carbon fiber bonnet that matters most – and in this case, it is the twin-turbocharged, 5.2-liter V12 pumping out 690 bhp, which is fed to the rear wheels through a ZF 8-speed transmission and limited slip differential. Massive carbon-ceramic brakes rein in the beast. Designed for uncompromising performance and luxury, the V12 Vantage will likely go down as one of Aston Martin's finest hours of the modern era.

THE CAR OFFERED

Exquisitely presented in virtually new condition, with just 26 miles recorded at the time of cataloguing, and offered from the care of its sole owner, this 2023 V12 Vantage coupe is a striking commission featuring a host of options from the 'Q by Aston Martin' personalization program. The option sheet totals over $95,000, including the Q Caribbean Blue Pearl 2 paint, taking nearly $12,000 of that total. Complementing the paintwork is a striking cabin in Dark Knight Alcantara with Aurora Blue accents on the carbon fiber sport seats, Blue Haze headlining and carpet, Cote d'Azure Blue contrast stitching, and satin carbon fiber trim. The litany of equipment continues with the Lightweight Package, Exposed Carbon Bonnet, Lightweight Wheels, Premium Audio, Appearance Package, center-mount twin exhausts, and a 7-piece fitted luggage set. With its wide-hip body, sculpted lines, and carefully selected colorway and carbon accents, this V12 Vantage is an absolute stunner.

An accompanying clean Carfax report verifies its single owner status, and a bespoke brochure produced by Aston Martin documents this car's unique and arresting spec. Additional documents include the window sticker with an MSRP of $402,336, receipts for the dealer-installed extras (luggage, carbon under bonnet package, and appearance package), and a factory build sheet.

Once the details are taken in, and the swan door shuts behind you, it is time to savor the epic performance and soundtrack from the 690bhp (700PS) twelve-cylinder engine and all the staggering performance this Aston Martin has to offer. This V12 Vantage will, without a doubt, thrill its next custodian at the first press of the start button.
