THE FERRARI SF90

On the trail of the exclusive limited-production hybrid electric LaFerrari, Maranello brought its hybrid technology to the regular mid-engine V8 production line - though this new car was anything but "regular." Using lessons learned from the LaFerrari and hybrid Formula One programs, Ferrari delivered staggering performance and surprisingly respectable fuel efficiency. The ties to grand prix racing were no secret, as the new model shared the 'SF90' moniker with the 2019 SF90 F1 car, named in celebration Scuderia Ferrari's 90th Anniversary.

Unlike the screaming V12 in the LaFerrari, the SF90 Stradale uses a V8 engine supplemented by twin turbochargers and a trio of electric motors. One is for the crank-mounted MGU-K system, while two others power the front wheels for ultimate traction and balance. Despite the cylinder count deficit, the 4-liter hybrid V8 drivetrain makes an astounding 986 bhp combined – that's 769 from the internal combustion engine alone, and another 217 from the motors. Despite making nearly 1,000 horsepower, the SF90 is capable of impressive efficiency – upwards of 44 MPGe, if you're capable of restraining your right foot! The factory claims the SF90 can sprint to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, though Car and Driver tested one and hit 60mph in 2 seconds flat. A range of driving modes selectable by the Manettino allow the driver to set the car's dynamics based on road conditions, weather, and talent.

The beautiful shape, penned by Ferrari's in-house Styling Centre, under the leadership of Flavio Manzoni, draws inspiration from the 330 P3/4 and has clear lineage to the 458, 488 and F8, yet is thoroughly modern in its detail. Designed with the assistance of the engineering department's aerodynamicists, the SF90 Stradale can generate 860 lbs. of downforce at 155 mph. The open-topped Spider followed the Stradale Berlinetta, adding a fast-folding retractable targa roof, and creating the most powerful non-limited production convertible in the world.

THE CAR OFFERED

The incredible SF90 Spider offered here comes courtesy of Ferrari's exclusive Tailor Made department, an in-house customization program on par with Bentley's Mulliner department, built at the behest of a serial Ferrari collector. With just delivery miles shown, this car is in superb condition, presented in a breathtaking color combination and featuring a staggering $298,000 in options and equipment. The color, officially named Glossy Verde Masone Metallizzato is a fabulous complement to the SF90s shape and is a most appealing alternative to the more common colorways. Bare carbon fiber accents, a black roof and charcoal wheels accent the fabulous body color. Carbon options feature aplenty and include extremely desirable Assetto Fiorano Package, the rear diffuser, side splitters, dash trim, Driver Zone, instrument cluster, door sills, and tunnel trim and more.

The cabin is equally as striking as the body, with black Ultrasuede upholstery on the seats and door cards accented with olive green Kvadrat Canvas inserts. Combined with the polished carbon fiber, the result is a sophisticated and stunning design that is certain to look brilliant long after this car has become a 'classic.'

This SF90 Spider is being offered from the care of its original owner, with a clean CARFAX report, a copy of the window sticker showing the total MSRP of $868,753, and its Tailor Made brochure on file. A stunning collector-quality Ferrari in every respect, it boasts all the astonishing performance of an F1-inspired drivetrain in a truly bespoke package.
