Strand of seventeen antique Venetian millefiori glass trade beads. These beads were reworked by heating to give them the oblong shape they actually have. Most probably this action was made when the beads were already in Africa. Made in Venice (Italy) on the end of the 19th-early 20th Centuries for the African trade.
Worn. Good condition with minimal usual chips(see pictures) .
Collectible and useful as jewelry supplies.
Longuest bead measures: 39 x 12 mm.
